The Adventures of Aquarius Boy – p.4

Standing there, munching on some tall grasses, was a big black Bull with dull gray horns and a golden ring through his nose. “You’re disturbing my meal with all your yelling.”

Aquarius Boy frowned. “I’m sorry; I didn’t mean for anyone to hear me, except maybe the clouds so they might help me fly.”

The Bull snorted, shaking the golden ring hanging from his nostrils. “Little boys can’t fly.”

“Oh? Then I will be the first!” Aquarius Boy flapped his arms again. “I just have to try harder.”

“I admire your spirit but it’ll never work,” said the Bull, and he bent to sniff at the grass. “Animals live on the ground, fish swim in the sea, and birds fly. Things like that never change.” The Bull took a great bite of some shiny young shoots of grass, and began chewing loudly.

Aquarius Boy walked away then, still frowning. He did not like the Bull’s view of the world, but wondered if it might be right after all.
