An Empty Box and a Fresh Start

Dearest readers, I hope the last two tales and their downer endings haven’t depressed you. I’m not sure whether it was due to a winter slump, but the days are getting longer now (even if they are still cold) and I’m feeling a lighter story bubbling to the surface.

The mysterious junk box is no more, and we should all thank our lucky stars for that! Can you imagine what would happen if you could just fill the world with a never-ending supply of wants and craves and impulse items? Any number of fables and cautionary tales demonstrate the evils of always getting what you want. Our hero, the janitor, was able to destroy the box precisely because he wanted for nothing.

What’s that, you ask? Was he meant to represent the Fool card from classic tarot? A bit. You smarty pants, you.

Would you be able to resist that box? Would it be full of junk when you looked inside, or would it be empty? I’m afraid I must plead the 5th.

Onward towards spring, and into another story!

This story venue is the empty box and you continue to fill it with stories I want to read and keep reading (regardless of how they end)! You are the magic and I keep coming back to get what I want: a good engrossing story. If that is wrong, then, as the song says, “I don’t want to be right!” šŸ™‚
